    September 2024 – Born in September 1994, Susan Ndip Ebotabot is a remarkable U.S.-based Cameroonian youth leader, social change advocate, and community development champion. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea, Susan has dedicated her career to making a meaningful impact in her community and beyond.

    A Passion for Humanitarian Journalism. Susan’s journey took a significant turn when she became a Certified Humanitarian Journalist and Reporter, a designation endorsed by the United Nations. This achievement came after she completed a specialized training program on Humanitarian Reporting and Reporting during Crisis periods in 2019. Through her role at LDTV, her former employer, Susan facilitated numerous training programs aimed at educating fellow journalists in Buea about the critical importance of humanitarian reporting.Her dedication to this cause ignited a deeper interest in Development Communication—a field focused on using communication strategies to promote social change and enhance the well-being of communities. Since 2020, Susan has been tirelessly producing various television programs designed to enact social change, highlighting issues that resonate with her audience and fostering dialogue around critical topics.

    Founding Nspir: A Network for Impact. In November 2023, driven by her passion for empowering youth and promoting purposeful living, Susan founded Nspir, a network of youths and journalists. This initiative aims to create impactful change through development communication. Nspir champions positive thinking, purposeful living, and community impact, providing a platform for young people to engage in meaningful conversations and initiatives.Through her blog and video productions, including live interview sessions, Susan has been actively promoting Development Communication campaigns and community development sensitization. Her work not only informs but also inspires others to take action, creating a ripple effect of positive change within the community.

    Currently, Susan is pursuing a practical nursing degree in Oklahoma, USA, showcasing her commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. Balancing her studies with her advocacy work, she continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration for many, demonstrating that with dedication and purpose, one can make a significant difference.
